Inma Shara (1972, Amurrio) has conducted the most important Spanish symphonic orchestras and collaborated with some of the best orchestras in the world, including: the Philharmonic Orchestras of London and Israel, the London Chamber Orchestra, Czech National Symphony Orchestra, Russian National Orchestra, London Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Symphonic Orchestra of Rome, National Symphonic Orchestra of Taiwan, Symphonic Orchestra of Milan, Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, Symphonic Orchestra of Lithuania, National Symphonic Orchestra of Latvia, Symphonic Orchestra of the Teatro Reggio de Parma, and the National Symphonic Orchestra of Ukraine. She has also conducted the London Symphony Orchestra and Choir and the Graz Philharmonic Orchestra (Austria).
Between 2007 and 2012, the Swiss watchmakers Vacheron Constantin, and other patrons of young talent, has invested heavily in Inma Shara and she is the firm's new global branding image and cultural ambassador. She conducted a concert in Madrid sponsored by this firm and attended by Her Majesty Reina Sofía, whose entire proceeds went to the Reina Sofía Foundation for the Alzheimer Project.
Her generosity and commitment towards society through music has driven her to conduct concerts for a variety of non-profit making organisations, concerts paying homage to the victims of terrorism, musical events to raise funds for illnesses such as cancer and so forth.
In 2008 she conducted a highly successful concert in the Vatican presided by Pope Benedict XVI to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Inma Shara has received the European Excellence Award (2009), and Sabino Arana Award (2009).
